We are happy to announce the details for the 10th Annual moe.down Golf Outing - please come out and join us on the green, make new friends and memories, and support a great cause!
Who are the coolest kids on the block? THE MOE.DOWN KIDS' TENT KIDS, of course! This year's Kids' tent theme is NYC! Get your costumes ready and be prepared to do a Rockette style kick line! We will also continue the trandition of an Annual Kids' Tent Talent Show.
Please join us for the 2nd Annual moe.down Hair Donation Event that will benefit Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Program. You can even cut your hair at home and bring it to us at moe.down to contribute as well. Last year, 33 people got their hair cut at moe.down, and 3 people anonymously donated hair. Let's see if we can beat last year's amount of hair cut: 363.25 inches!
moe. is pleased to announce the final bands rounding out this year’s moe.down lineup! Nas & Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Lotus, Turbine, Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds, and Orgone will join moe. in Mohawk, NY this Labor Day weekend to kick start the festival’s second decade.
Al and Chuck hung out with Fret12 at The Riviera in Chicago and answered fan questions submitted to Fret12's Artist Connect. Click on their names to hear them wax poetic on stage antics, vintage gear, musical influences and more.
After a successful and enjoyable decade in Turin, moe.down opts for a change of scenery: Gelston Castle Estate in Mohawk, NY. Or perhaps we should say...moe.hawk?
moe. will bring crowds over Labor Day weekend to the 330-acre Central New York site, which boasts breath-taking views of the Mohawk Valley and an impressive history. Majestic ruins of the 1833 castle still stand, along with the 8,300 square foot mansion built by cellist and humanitarian Mstislav "Maestro" Rostropovich, which now operates on windpower. Often called "Nature's Palace", the space is also the home of Green Leadership Institute. It is 20 minutes from Utica, NY.
As moe. fans know, the moe.down festival is like, as Al Schnier once described, 'a big family picnic'. The band members revel in surrounding themselves with friends, family and great music and pride themselves on giving their fans a memorable and enjoyable festival experience. Thousands travel each Labor Day weekend to gather for this down-home pilgrimage, and for many, plans for the next moe.down begin during the journey home from the last one.
With a new festival site comes new details. moe. and the organization realize that fans are eager for information, and will provide travel, accommodation and other important info soon. The festival will continue its tradition of hosting ample vending, a Kids' tent and various charitable causes, as well as presenting an unprecedented lineup of talented artists whose music span a wide variety of genres. We hope to see you all up in moe.hawk for moe.down!
A limited amount of $90 Early Bird tickets will go on sale 4/1 at 10am Eastern through moe.ticketing.
moe. have worked with alot of causes over the years, but this year we have chosen two to work with. Check out WHY (World Hunger Year), they do great work - helping to end world hunger. Our other cause is Headcount, who have worked tirelessly over the years to spread the word how important it is to vote.
Our friends at HeadCount and the NRDC Action Fund put together a Best of Bonnaroo compilation featuring “Not Coming Down” to encourage action on climate change. You can download it FREE at www.musicforaction.org, where you can also email your elected officials on the issue. Get Best of Bonnaroo now.
