MOE. FORUM RULES
Welcome to the moe. forum. Please take a moment to read and remember these rules to ensure that your stay is a pleasant one.
These rules are not exhaustive and are subject to change.
WHAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING A FORUM ON THE MOE. WEB SITE?
We know that there are other long-standing moe.-centered message boards out there and we are not looking to replicate them or to take away their traffic. The moe. forum was created to give fans the opportunity to have an official ‘home’ to discuss the band and other relevant topics, to meet other moe. fans and to share information related to moe. with one another. So settle in, relax, and have fun and join in the banter.
WHAT KIND OF POSTS WILL GET ME BANNED?
We ask that you act with a level of decency and consideration for your fellow members. Racism, name-calling, personal attacks, sexism, homophobia, etc. could see you put on a temporary ban. Keep it up and we may ban you completely. We don't want to be cops, we want you to have discussions and express yourselves, but please think before you post and consider whether you'd say the same thing if you were in a room with these people.
BANNINGS
We reserve the right to ban members from the forum, either for a short period of time or permanently if it is required. We hope it isn't. Admin will make ban decisions and the user will be notified as to the reason and duration.
REPORTING A POST
If you consider a post to be offensive, you can report it to moemod@moe.org and a moderator will take a look. Please take a moment to think before jumping to email us - is the post really offensive or are you just taking something too personally? We all have our buttons and sometimes they get pressed unintentionally with no ill intent. Sometimes taking the high road is more satisfying.
MOVING OF THREADS
There are many different sections to the forum, please try and post in the correct one. Posts will be moved if they're in the wrong place.
MERGING OF THREADS
If our moderators see a lot of posts being started on the same subject (i.e. a dozen threads asking what “no huddle” means) then they may merge them together into one topic. This may be a bit confusing at first, but is done to avoid having a whole page of very similar topics, which tends to irritate people severely.
WHY CAN'T WE HOTLINK OR POST PICTURES?
Keep in mind that this forum is in its infancy and we are still working to develop its capabilities. If we do allow the posting of pictures in future, keep in mind that anything that can be classified as 'not work safe' or 'not kid safe' will be deleted. This means porn, nudity and offensive/graphic images. The same goes for links. Everyone's got access to Google so we don't need links to questionable content. If you click a link on the forum, moe. is in no way responsible for the content of the external site. We ask that you don't post links to mp3s or other copyrighted content - it's illegal, y'know.
SPAMMING
We don't mind if you mention other websites where it's relevant, but we don't want spamming - blatantly posting just to advertise another site. Posts will be deleted and if you persist, you'll be banned.
AVATARS
Avatars should be work safe.
