ABOUT SNOE.DOWN
Some say Snoe.down started at Sugarloaf in Carrabassett, Maine in 2002 with a pair of performances by moe. on a particularly frigid weekend. The “official” Snoe.down festival began in March, 2006 in picturesque and historic Lake Placid, New York. moe. performed for two nights in the Olympic Center’s famed USA Rink (home of the “Miracle on Ice”) as well as an outdoor afternoon set before more than 3,000 ecstatic fans at nearby Whiteface Mountain. The band repeated the event the following year, adding Disco Biscuits, Brazilian Girls, Little Feat, Tea Leaf Green and the Slip among many others. Construction plans at the Olympic Center scheduled to begin in 2008 put Snoe.down on indefinite hold, as the festival was forced to go on hiatus while an alternative home could be found.

March 2010 marked the triumphant return of the Snoe.down Winter Music & Sports Festival. The 3-day event featured two nights of concerts on Friday & Saturday by moe. and other special musical guests at Spartan Arena in Rutland and 3 days of music and outdoor activities including a free concert on Saturday at Killington Resort and an acoustic brunch performance for VIPs.

In addition to multiple performances by moe., Snoe.down 2010 Artists included funk/soul group Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, jam-grass favorites Railroad Earth, native Vermont rockers Assembly of Dust, The Bridge, The Heavy Pets, Hot Day at the Zoo, Leroy Justice, Lynch, The McLovins, Moonalice, and Sonicbids Winner Red Rooster.
