happy new year

happy new year everyone. just wanted to say thank you to all of you for making '05 our best moe. year yet. the shows in asheville were so much fun. truly looking forward to '06. it looks like the new studio album will be wrapped up very shortly. we are also making plans to release our 1st album in europe (a diff. live album, which will be avail. here as an import only). look for an announcement regarding snoe.down lineup, details, etc. in the next few wks. we are currently working on summercamp & moe.down plans & will be making announcements soon. um... I will be posting a studio diary shortly, along w. pics etc.
also, wanted to mention the benefit show in syracuse (1/22 landmark theatre) one more time. the show is for a great cause - a new autism developmental center for K-12 & beyond. the pre-school program has proven to be a great resource, & the Kelberman Center will pick up where Promise leaves off.
the number of children being diagnosed ea. year is growing exponentially & it is staggering. the following is from a recent Time magazine article: "Not long ago, autism was assumed to be comparatively rare, affecting as few as 1 in 10,000 people. The latest studies, however, suggest that as many as 1 in 150 kids age 10 and younger may be affected by autism or a related disorder — a total of nearly 300,000 children in the U.S. alone. If you include adults, according to the Autism Society of America, more than a million people in the U.S. suffer from one of the autistic disorders (also known as pervasive developmental disorders or pdds). The problem is five times as common as Down syndrome and three times as common as juvenile diabetes."
we will be doing some additional fund raising at the event, including offering autographed memorabilia for raffle or auction. thank you so much for your support. it means a lot to me personally, but more importantly will make a huge positive impact on our community.
